The Kakapo

In room five, we have been writing a report about the kakapo. The kakapo is a special and long living bird. It lives for 100 years! It is the only flightless parrot and the heaviest parrot in the world. My teacher put some links on a slideshow for us and we found lots of information about the kakapo. In my slideshow I put, What it looks like, What the kakapo eats and Where the kakapo is found, all in different paragraphs.

  1. Hi Deakyn, I am Jackson from Awahono School. I like the slide movements.
One problem though, why have you got description about the kakapo on the introduction?

  2. Hi Deakyn
Your choice of background and lettering really make me want to look at your slideshow because the lettering is large and fills the screen and coontrasts well with the background. Your transitions are great, too. I can read most of the words before the slide changes, but there were a couple that I hadn't finished in time. Could you make your transition times just a little longer? Well done, Deakyn.

  3. One more thing, Deakyn: how could you make your final slide fit in with the overall theme of the slideshow?

  4. Hi Deakyn,
I'm Jake from Awahono School. I loved your slideshow about the kakapo. I like how you have got clear writing with the back ground. It really makes it stand out more.
