Netball Court Measuring
In room five, we are learning to measure the length, width and perimeter. When we measured the court we used two steps to make a metre, but we actually used steps and halved the number of steps we got. When I went into class I added up my length estimate and width estimate to make up 81 I doubled 81 and it added up to 162 steps and half of that is 81, so 81 metres is the perimeter. After we made a DLO. Here is mine. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Deakyn, your explanation of how you estimated the perimeter using your steps is very clear.
ReplyDeleteDid you mean your width estimate to be steps, not centimetres?
